The Concept

A world first for mobile point of sale

Motorola are a world leader in mobile technologies and as the first manufacturer to release a tablet running Google's Android operating system, along with three new smart phone devices, Motorola approached us to help produce an idea that would revolutionise the mobile retail space for ever. The concept was to create a display system that combined an intuitive and attractive interface with some very clever smarts - from gesture tracking to daily reports and device management.

The Process

Consumer research

Initial consumer research was undertaken before proposing a solution to Motorola. The process included significant analysis of consumer beahviour in and around the retail environment, along with an indepth design and concept phase to ensure the end product would attract the attention of shoppers, be intuitive and user-friendly, and be flexible enough maintain the unique brand requiements of each device - for smartphones and tablets.

The Result

Inspiring technology

The result is an ongoing deployment strategy that will see the app roll out across more regions on more devices throughout 2012. The instore demo has sparked a global retail revolution with Motorola engaging more with their constomers at the point of purchase via a great user experience and inspiring technology.
